Accommodation Terms & Conditions

 

Please read the following carefully. Payment constitutes the guests' acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. It is your/guests responsibility to read all terms and conditions of the booking. These policies and procedures are in accordance with the National ‘Holiday and Short Term Rental Agreement’.

We regret the need to implement the below rulings. We trust that honest, respectable persons should not find anything of major concern. Our aim is to provide you with a wonderful, enjoyable stay and a pleasant experience for all concerned. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to welcoming you.

 

Cancellation policy

Applies if cancellation is caused by the client or by the owner due to circumstances beyond management’s control. The Terrace Lofts recommends Travel Insurance to safeguard against the possibility of any cancellations. Please notify us immediately of any changes or cancellations.

  1. Reservations cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival are subject to a cancellation fee of 30% of the total rate.

  2. Reservations cancelled between 30 and 7 days prior to arrival are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the total rate.

  3. Reservations cancelled less than 7 days prior to arrival are subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the total rate.

  4. All ‘no shows’ will incur an administration fee of $200 in addition to a cancellation fee of 100% of the total rate.

 

Booking conditions

The credit card used to guarantee your reservation will be charged for any minibar purchases, tours booked, meal charge-backs, damages, and additional cleaning charges.

 

Check-in time is 3.00pm

Other times by mutual arrangement and subject to availability, arrangements must be made at least 24 hours prior to arrival.

 

Check-out is 11.00am on day of departure

Late check-out not by mutual agreement will incur additional charges by the hour, or part thereof, from your nominated credit card.

A couple is deemed as two (2) guests using one bedroom. Number of guests should not exceed the number stated on the confirmation or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Management reserves the right to charge an additional fee of $100.00 per night for use of the 2nd bedroom/bedding during the stay for guests who do not book both bedrooms.

In the case of both (two) bedrooms being reserved and your requirements/circumstances changing resulting in the use of only one bedroom, it is your responsibility to advise management prior to check in date.

Where applicable, registration details of all vehicles that will be parked onsite or used for transporting guests will be recorded. The Terrace Lofts has space for one vehicle per apartment in our carpark. Additional vehicles will need to be parked on the street (there are no parking restrictions).

 

To maintain our high standards for all guests, we require that certain conditions be complied with. We appreciate that most will respect our property and neighbours, but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions. Your assistance in these matters ensures our ability to prepare and maintain the apartments to a high standard.

It is the responsibility of guests to ensure the property is left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. It is anticipated that the apartments will be clean and tidy, in an acceptable state of repair, with all dishes washed/dried and put away, stove and bench tops clean, and all rubbish placed in outside garbage bins provided (remember to recycle).

Whilst we understand that accidents can happen, we appreciate you informing us prior to your departure if there has been any damage/mishap to the apartment during your stay. At the completion of your stay, management will conduct an inspection on the apartment. Your nominated credit card details will be automatically debited for any amounts outstanding for damage to the apartment, furniture or linen, extra charges for cleaning, extra guests staying, extra bedrooms/bedding being used, purchases, and expenses incurred as a result of theft, or loss to the Terrace Lofts and/or our neighbours.

The property is situated in a quiet residential area and, in the interests of our neighbours; your booking is accepted on the express condition that you cause no disturbance and you maintain a reasonable noise level between  10.00pm and 8.00am. Parties and functions are strictly prohibited. The tariff charged is for domestic use only and for the use of our paying guests. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in additional charges.

If any key, lock, security device or other goods belonging to the property are lost, payment to repair/replace the item is the responsibility of the guest. Management will debit the nominated credit card in order to ‘make good’.

The owners take no responsibility for any loss or damage to guests' personal property.

Please be advised that SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED indoors. Smoking is permitted outdoors only. For those who still find it necessary to smoke indoors (which is very obvious to non-smokers even in winter when the fire has been used) additional cleaning charges of $300 from your nominated credit card will be incurred for the dry cleaning/laundering of soft furnishings. I.e. curtains, rug, cushions, lounge, bedding etc. Guests are required to dispose of cigarette butts in garbage bins prior to departure.

Guests must act reasonably in their consumption of alcohol in the apartments. No drugs or illegal activities are permitted on the property. Guests are responsible for their visitors' behaviour.

If you use the BBQ, please ensure it is cleaned prior to your departure to avoid additional cleaning charges.

Guests are required to ensure the property is secured when leaving the property, including locking all doors and windows.

Guests are required to comply with vehicle parking legislation, park in appropriate areas, and show consideration for our neighbours and other vehicles.

Pets

 

The Terrace Lofts no longer accommodates pets.

Damaged or missing property

In the event that any property is damaged maliciously, or beyond normal wear and tear, or in the event that property belonging to The Terrace Lofts is lost or stolen during the course of your stay, management reserves the right to charge the reasonable cost for repair or replacement of that property to the guest and, in that regard, the guest acknowledges that the charge may be debited from the credit card or charge facility used for payment of the booking. The appropriate authorities may also be alerted.

Lost property is held for a period of 3 months. It is the responsibility of the guest to contact The Terrace Lofts management to claim lost property. On request, lost property will be returned COD via Australia Post.

 

General provisions:

The Terrace Lofts reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time. It is the guest's responsibility to check our website for possible changes prior to commencement of your stay.

In these ‘conditions of stay’, the terms ‘Property’ and ‘Apartment’ means the property known as The Terrace Lofts Apartments located at 92 The Terrace, Ocean Grove and all of the other or personal property within or on the property.
