Summer in Ocean Grove

Ocean Grove is surrounded by long sandy beaches suitable for the beginner boogie boarder as well as the more experienced surfer or families looking for a ‘day on the beach’.

Ocean Grove’s main surf beach has surf life saving guards on patrol everyday during the summer school holidays and weekend during the summer months.Take the family for a rock pool ramble on low tide at the Barwon Heads bluff, enjoy a spot of fishing along the Barwon River pontoon or jetties.

The free town bus runs all summer between Barwon Heads and Ocean Grove stopping at local beaches and surf spots, so no car park worries as the bus pick up is in front of our apartments located in The Terrace.

Our air conditioned apartments are approx 400 metres from the Ocean Grove beach an easy walk or bike ride that avoids crossing all major roads. We can arrange surf lessons with local instructors a short walk from our apartments. Gift vouchers can also be arranged to surprise your family members with a private surf lesson on one of Victoria’s most beautiful surf beaches.
